Trump Warns Iran of Bridge and Power Plant Strikes Over Ship Attacks as Conflict Escalates

Donald Trump warns Iran of possible bridge and power plant strikes following ship attacks, escalating a five-month conflict involving U.S.-Israeli strikes, Iranian retaliation, oil disruptions, rising energy prices, infrastructure threats, legal concerns, and more than $100 billion in war-related costs.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Iran that bridges and power plants could become targets for strikes in response to recent attacks on commercial ships, escalating a five-month conflict that has intensified tensions across the Middle East.

The confrontation began on February 28 with U.S.-Israeli strikes that killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iran later retaliated, while a blockade of the Strait disrupted nearly 20% of global oil supplies, creating major pressure on international energy markets.

The crisis deepened after Iran carried out attacks on four commercial ships, leading to 12 consecutive nights of U.S. airstrikes against coastal military locations. Trump’s latest warning expanded the scope of possible targets by referring to critical infrastructure, including bridges and power facilities.

Iran’s Foreign Minister responded by warning that any attacks on national infrastructure would trigger a powerful response from Tehran, further raising concerns of a broader regional confrontation.
